I just need to tell you what a fabulous time I had on Saturday night. I have had so many messages that are so complimentary about the club.

The food was outstanding, especially the beef. Some people said it was the best they had ever eaten.

The bar staff were wonderful, each one of them very pleasant and helpful. They cleared up efficiently and it all ran really smoothly. They were fantastic at helping Jes and I unload the car and reload it the following day.

It all added up to a great evening and a great advert for the club. I am very grateful to everyone involved.

See you Friday, Jes and I are helping out on the charity day.

YUGC County Members Day

As ever Abbeydale provided a course and clubhouse facility that both players and Executives enjoyed and appreciated.

Your Captain Mark along with others helped enormously with starting duties. Please pass our grateful thanks to all.

The course was in excellent condition and appreciated by all who played. Please pass our thanks to Martin and his team.

The clubhouse facilities with food and drinks was served professionally by your staff. Please thank all concerned.

Thank Shaun for his excellent menu selection and quality.

Our thanks to Abbeydale Golf Club along with yourself and Professional Staff for the support and help all day.

We appreciated your Captain Mark attending the presentation at the end of the event.

The Abbeydale YCM event has been a great success and we thank you.

I would like to thank you for the opportunity of allowing our society to attend your splendid course and facilities. Can you please extend our thanks to the greenkeepers for presenting such a well-manicured course with excellent, quick but fair greens. The pro, who was welcoming to all of us and could not do enough to help, the catering staff who provided us with an excellent bacon roll in the morning and what a fantastic two course meal afterwards and last but not least your members who were courteous and hospitable to every one of us guys.

The whole experience was enjoyable and made for a great day for all. We hope that we were well received and should the opportunity arise again, we would like to visit again in the future.

On behalf of our President and the SUGC executives I would like to thank Abbeydale Golf Club for hosting the Sheffield Open yesterday.

All who played enjoyed the course and it was in fantastic condition. Please pass on our thanks to your green staff for their preparation and hard work.

Many thanks to your hospitality team who were professional and accommodating and who played a major part in the success of the competition.

The course looked terrific and feedback from the competitors was excellent.

  <p>My trip to Liverpool (Childwall) proved fruitful as YUGC Boys took 1st and 2nd in the individual and our team qualified for the England finals at Teignmouth GC in Devon! Surfboard at the ready
